While taking a walk by the canal at last light I ended up finding the remains of a Foxes meal. The remains were from a Pheasant, the main body had gone and all that remained was it's head and one wing. I am hoping the Fox must have a den with cubs nearby as there is a well worn path by where I found the head of the male Pheasant.
Apologies if it's gory but its Nature and I'd rather an animal have a meal than these beautiful birds be shot out of the sky for sport. I placed the skull high up so it will rot away or be taken by ground predators then I will have a new skull for my Nature collection.
