Short post - Goosander on the river

On my way back from kayaking the other day I checked a spot on the canal which over looks a river. The water here is clear and shallow I see the fish shoals from here and many fish eating birds from Herons, Kingfishers, Cormorants and today I spotted a Goosander among a group of Mallards on the River Dane which was nice to see after nearly sinking on the lake.

 Usually they nest upriver from here and have 12-18 in one brood which is an amazing and more common thing for here and there are new birds breeding on my local patch each year.
