As the canal was still frozen today and every time a i have passed by this week more mallards as well as a pair of swans have landed down on the icy canal and the only food they seem to be getting was white bread which does help them but can make them ill so i got a bucket of seed from my bird food larder and set off down the to area of the canal which is about 5 minutes from my house to give them abit of high energy food before the cold weather returns.
In return for the food the ducks posed perfectly giving me the chance to capture some shots of them on the frozen canal where they have decided to stay until the warmer weather of spring returns.
