Another reason why the past weekend was the best of the year so far. At the weekend I saw my first Chiffchaff of the year at one of my filming locations by a river woodland. It was tough to get a shot as it would not stay still but in the end I got a photograph.
Also in the woodland I spotted a Willow tit which is a first for my local patch and up above the woodland the Buzzards soared on the thermals calling to each other as if to celebrate the warm spring weather arriving.
Another exciting thing I heard was the Green woodpeckers calling and looking for a nest site across the other side of the river which was a fantastic thing to watch.
