After leaving the camera for 2 nights I could not wait any longer so I set off in the rain with my fingers crossed and my kit bag in tow. After walking for miles and arriving at my destination I reached into the cave to retrieve the camera trap that I was hoping had an image of an Otter passing through the cave so I can then film using a prowler Hd and get some great footage of an Otter in a woodland habitat.
There were 10 images on the SD card and as I checked the last but one image I thought we had nothing but as you say save the best for last and on the photo was of an Otter leaving the cave heading out back down to the river.
Now I have a place to film I can rig up some cameras and pretty much guess the appearance of the Otter onto 2 nights as it seems to be there 1 in 4 days. I cannot wait to get started on filming the Otter and maybe get some some close up footage using a camera trap inside the cave as well as filming the entrance and exit with wireless cctv cameras and having a hide down by the river to record and even see the Otter leave the river and go up the stream to the cave.
Nice one Mike a great capture.
