Swallows fledging I made it just in time!!!!!!

When I arrived back home after my eventful holiday I wanted to check on my swallow family that live under a canal bridge to see if they had fledged or not but I should not have worried as 3 ready to fledge youngsters were sat in the nest and within ten minutes of being there one of them took its first flight over the canal to some nearby brambles and landed safely.
The two remained by the nest until I went for my dinner and when i got back to the nest they had both gone.
