Today I received my Nikon D5000 and could not wait to try it with my Manual focus 200-500 Lens. I went to my local Kingfisher perch spot and within 5 minutes I got some far shots of them taking off the perch and flying up river.
I am planning to use my dingy to get closer to the kingfisher perches so I can lie down with camouflage netting over me and get some great closeup shots without disturbing them.
