A surprise by the canal

Just a quick post today as Yesterday I spotted a pair of young Tawnies in woodland down by my local canal in Middlewich. Although we could not get very close my 300mm lens and a little crop got me a pretty decent photo to show what they look like in there branching stage where they leave the nest and perch nearby so the adults can feed them day and night. The adults were around as we heard Blackbirds alarm calling which is a giveaway of a Tawny especially in a woodland where they are a top aerial predator.
Thanks for reading

Mike
